The .ORG Impact Awards are all about celebrating positive change globally. Although there are prizes for winners, what truly matters is the opportunity to amplify stories of missions and initiatives that effect real change and enhance global safety.
This year, the awards took place in Washington, D.C., honoring the work of beloved charities worldwide. Patrons had a chance to recognize, spotlight, and advocate for their chosen organizations.
While the cash prize of up to $50,000 holds significance for the top achiever, the journeys and outcomes of these initiatives are priceless. Here, we will share stories of some winners and finalists from 2023, many of whom are proud Namecheap customers.
Award Winners
We’d like to highlight the organizations that shared their transformative stories and emerged top in their categories.
Spotlight on Hope for Justice
Claiming first place in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and winning the most prestigious recognition—.ORG of the year—is Hope for Justice. With their goal to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking and protect victims’ rights, they contribute to global change through prevention, rescue, restoration, and societal reform, emphasizing education as a crucial tool.
Hope for Justice aims to effect systemic changes for prevention, working closely with policymakers and educators to enhance legal and structural landscapes. With over 20 programming sites globally and ongoing development in various regions, the organization will further bolster its mission with the $50,000 prize, spreading their story wider and ensuring more victims’ safety.
Introducing LightEd
LightEd, the winner in the Rising Stars category, seeks to empower over 5 million Africans to live sustainably by 2035. They develop “clean technology solutions” harnessed from renewable energy and waste management, improving the lives of refugees with their solar charging stations and lamps.
With the $10,000 cash prize, LightEd will accelerate its mission, but more importantly, spreading their mission will go a long way in crystallizing their vision.

Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the finalists and learn about their missions.
LAWUNA Project, Sodzo Foundation

Although they didn’t clinch the top spot, we commend their commitment to preserving the environment and the communities they serve.
